Version: Edge Master: If I don’t wake up

Edge Master gave a small smirk as he took the first step towards Algol. This fight was long overdue. With a speed that most men dreamed of, Edge Master moved closer to Algol and stuck with a horizontal slice. Algol quickly brought up his right hand and formed a shield, blocking the attack. The force of the blow made the two move apart from each other. It was a frightening sight, seeing two immortals try to kill each other.

The two quickly moved together again and started to trade blows. Each attack either being blocked, parried, or dodged. They appeared to be evenly matched in strength while Edge Master had a tiny advantage in speed. Algol, however, had the abilities to match and over come his enemy.

As the fight went on, Edge Master started to hope that the woman would make her move soon. Algol was proving to be a tough challenge…

Helena’s favorite tactic was about to come into play.

Silently, the copy slipped into her own shadow, before the pool darted over behind Algol. Sure, it was just a dream, but any chance to see Algol  look defeated was good enough for her.
With a yell, she shot back out of the shadow, tossing the bright flame at him with all her strength. Strangely, the flame felt… odd as it left her. A little draining, actually.

Helena moved back quickly, not wanting to stay within range of any possible counter-attack.

As the two warrior’s blades struck each other once again, Edge Master could see the woman’s attack coming. Keeping his calm, he jumped backwards and got ready. This movement surprised Algol. He didn’t know what Edge Master was jumping back from, so he turned around to find out. When he did, the flame hit his stomach and exploded, leaving a large burn and sending him back.

Edge Master had been expecting this and jumped forward, making a slice at the back of Algol’s neck. After Algol flew past, and Edge Master cutting through, Algol hit the ground. Looking back at Algol, he noticed algol’s head rolling away from his body.

“This was… too easy..” Edge Master said, putting his sword away. This was way to easy…

If you could say one thing to my character’s face without any repercussion, what would you say?

Edge Master glanced at the woman, wondering what she was doing with her hand until the fire started in it. So she knew magic? He’d seen things like that before, but never like that. He looked back at Algol who started to get into his own fighting stance.

“If you will not leave, then I suggest you prepare yourself.” He said, gripping his sword tightly. If this woman wanted to help him fight Algol, then he’d allow it. Perhaps he’d remember more about her if he fought alongside her.

Slowly turning back to glance at Edge Master, it dawned on her why her flame was so strange; This was HIS dream, not hers, and if he expected any magic at all, he’d probably expect normal magic, not shadow magic like hers.
In fact, she hadn’t taken the time to notice her attire had changed.
It was much like something she would normally wear, but in shades of lavender and a deep, rich purple.

Shaking the thoughts from her head, she got into a stance of her own, before mumbling “I’ve been waiting a long time to hurt this asshole…”

Thinking it would be a one on one fight, Edge Master was surprised when that woman came here to help him. Did she not know what she was going up against? As she talked, he started to think that she was just a bit crazy. However, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he should know who she is.

“You should leave.” Edge Master said, drawing out a long sword. If there was any time for him to use his own personal style, which he had spent most of his life perfecting, it was now. “This is no place for you…”

But, deep down, he knew he was wrong. Why, that would remain to be seen. What surprised Edge Master the most was how calm Algol looked, even now. He seemed.. lifeless, if anything.

“…While you’re right, I suppose, I don’t really feel like leaving.” Helena mumbled, tilting her head as she turned back to look at Algol once more. Honestly, the man sort of angered her…
Without thinking, she lifted her palm, a bright, oddly stable flame forming in her hand. This startled her more than anything she’d seen in the dream before; in fact, she stared at the flame in her own palm, looking utterly confused. Where were the black lines? The odd flickering?!

Edge Master glanced at the woman, wondering what she was doing with her hand until the fire started in it. So she knew magic? He’d seen things like that before, but never like that. He looked back at Algol who started to get into his own fighting stance.

In his mind, Edge Master stood. It took quite a lot of practice over the years, but he had mastered the art of lucid dreaming. He knew what happened in his dreams, but he could not control the flow of which they went.

He turned around, expecting his dream to start any moment. Instead, a nightmare. A woman’s scream shot through the air as the scenery changed to one of a long dead village, burning. People ran past him, but from what he didn’t know. His first instinct was to run the opposite direction, directly at the source of the destruction. Edge Master had to stop it, he had no choice. He just had to.

The people he ran by, he felt like he should know them. However hard he tried to remember, he couldn’t. He couldn’t remember anything about this town at all when he felt like he should know every bit of it. As he ran, another woman passed him. Something inside him told him to follow her but he couldn’t. He just kept going, hoping to stop this madness.

“…Well… shit just got real quickly.” Helena commented, stepping out of the way just in time for someone to run past her. She looked…disbelieving, in a sense. She looked around in utter bafflement, before spotting the very same man whose dream she was invading… running TOWARDS the cause of the screaming.
“Hey, wait, no! Don’t do that!” Helena called out, before quickly running after him.

Wait…could she effect the dream at all? Could he even see her?

He heard the woman shouting at him, but he had to go. This was something he had to do. As Edge Master got closer to the source, he could feel the energy of what was doing it. The closer he got, the less people there were. More bodies though. When he finally reached it, he saw who was causing this damage. A large man with two different glowing hands standing in the center of this chaos. “Algol.” Edge Master said, getting into a fighting stance. This was definitely a bad place to be if Algol had full power..

“No one eeeever listens to me. Oh sure, Zelda says one word and everyone hops to it, but little old me? Nooooooo.” Helena sneered under her breath, running after him
This was followed by a series of her muttering the word ‘fuck’ under her breath several times.

However, this ended rather quickly once she managed to catch up.

“…Hey, I remember you! You’re that really pompous guy that showed up when Nightmare was still causing things!” She commented, pointing right at Algol as she spoke.
However, she failed to account for ‘dream logic’ as, as such, had no idea her statement might make no sense.

A little puddle of shadows crept into the quiet world, before a small, happy gasp could be heard. Helena quietly squealed happily at her luck, finding not only someone asleep, but someone who had lived a very long time, too.
What do damn near immortal people dream about, anyway?’ Came the copy’s though, as the shadow pool dashed over.
Easily, thanks to the spell, Helena manged to slip into his dreams, her shadows fading from this world and into his subconscious as she drew closer to him.

Open/M!A: If I don’t wake up

Curiosity.

That is what drove Helena right now. Sheer curiosity.
A spell was recently placed on her, allowing her to delve deeply into the dreams of others as they slept. And now? Now she wanted to test this.
Eagerness drove her to move quickly, to find some sort of sleeping target to use this on.

Edge Master was leaning against the wall of the platform in Astral Chaos. Things had been quiet for quite a long time, even with his son’s training going on. However, the immortal was long due for a nap. Closing his eyes, and with practice that came with being alive for thousands of years, easily drifted into sleep to see what his mind will show him.
